Have ever had to find a traditional brass stop tap in a property,
let alone turn it off to isolate the water supply in a hurry?
Then you know the problem!
The valve is probably located in some out of the way position
under the sink, at arms length so
that you can only just reach it with your fingers. Meanwhile
the leak you want to stop continues to flow. This situation
is bad enough if you are able bodied but if you are elderly,
infirm, disabled or just not strong enough, you will have
to seek outside help.
Unless they are frequently used (which in itself causes problems),
brass stop taps can easily scale up, seize and fail - especially
in hard water areas. Plumbers have known about these problems
for years, and householders only become aware of this fact
when there is a leak that cannot be quickly stopped and an
insurance claim is rapidly increasing. Let's face it; the
design from the 19th century is well past its sell by date.
 Now
21st century, award winning innovation makes this problem
a thing of the past. SureStop remote and direct water switches
make turning the water supply on and off as simple as flicking
a switch.
By using proven servo valve technology SureStop uses the
pressure of the water supply to switch the valve on & off
via a large rocker switch.
No electricity, batteries or additional power supplies
are required. Best of all, the remote version as standard
can have the rocker switch mounted up to 4 metres away from
the valve fitted into the incoming water supply. As well as
the remote switch, there is a direct version for where access
to the pipework is unrestricted; both options being available
with 15mm and 22mm connectors.
SureStop can be used whenever you want - when you go on holiday
- when you go out- when you go to bed - or just for that emergency.
You can't use the SureStop too often; it's been tested for
200,000 operations.
Using SureStop on a frequent basis can prevent catastrophic
damage through burst pipes A pipe can leak 20 l/m - 1200 l/hr
- 28800 l/day. That's nearly 30 tonnes of water, and
at today's costs on a meter; you would pay £60; just for the
wasted water!
Above all, it is about peace of mind - to be able to switch
the water off easily in any situation, at the flick of a switch.
